Gonzalez was named manager of the Marlins on October 3, 2006; replacing Joe Girardi.

It didn't take long for Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Kevin Carter to find his niche in the NFL. Not long after signing with the St. Louis Rams out of the University of Florida in 1995, Carter showed he could sack NFL quarterbacks just as impressively.

The Myers also own real estate in the Jacksonville, Florida area.

Stand-out running back Ricky Williams has reunited with the Miami Dolphins and may be starting for the team when they square off with Pittsburgh on Monday night. The Dolphins hope Williams will be able to help them get their first win of the season.

While playing for the Dolphins between 2002-2005, Williams had tested positive for marijuana use on at least three different occasions, leading to fines, suspensions and a premature retirement from the NFL. Williams signed with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League in 2006.

Dallas Stars defensemen Sergei Zubov has bought a home in Dallas for just under $4,000,000. Built in 2006, the home offers 5 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms and 1 half bathroom, library/study, wet bar, 4 fireplaces, and 6,887 square feet.
