Dallas Mavericks point guard Jose Barea has purchased a 2,752 square foot, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom townhouse in Dallas for $335,255. Located in the Throckmorton Pointe subdivision, Barea's cozy new home was originally listed for $352,900.
Early in 2008, forward/guard Devean George (now a free agent) kicked off the new year in style by purchasing a 3,900 square ft, 5 bedroom, pool home in Irving, Texas. Built in 2000, Devean's $525,000 Hackberry Creek subdivision home also offers a fireplace, patio, and a 2.5 car garage.
The Hackberry Creek golf course has previously hosted The Troy Aikman Celebrity Golf Tournament.
Not to be outdone, in mid March all-star power forward and franchise player Dirk Nowitzki purchased a 5 bedroom, 6 bathroom Colonial-revival in Dallas, which property records show he paid just under $8 million for.
Built in 1937, the massive 9,215 square foot home also boasts a 3-car garage, tennis court, swimming pool and a fireplace with a sitting area near the back patio.
Dirk Nowitzki also owns another home in Dallas. Valued at approximately $3.4 million, the 2-story home offers 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, swimming pool, spa, sauna, wet bar, and 5,337 square feet. Nowitzki purchased the home back in 2004.

New York Knicks head coach Mike D'Antoni is selling his Scottsdale, Arizona home. D'Antoni was head coach for the Phoenix Suns before landing his current position with the Knicks.
Property records show D'Antoni paid $1,425,000 for the home in August of 2002. Located at 6073 East Sunnyside Drive, the home is now back on the market with an asking price of $3,000,000. The home has 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 fireplaces, heated pool, media room, exercise room with a sauna, library, game room, and just over 5,000 square feet.
Mike D'Antoni accepted the reported four-year, $24 million head coaching job with the Knicks in May of 2008.

Living in hot and humid South Florida is a far cry from Bryan Allen's Ontario, Canada upbringing. In December of 2007, the 6'4" 220 pound defenseman for the NHL's Florida Panthers purchased a home near Fort Lauderdale.
